Good Morning,
Today I have a quick share of a garden theme teacher appreciation card. I was inspired by my latest “die hard” club set that just arrived from Stamps of Life Die Hard club. At the bottom, I stamped “Thanks… followed by the inside sentiment ” for helping me grow” it is the perfect statement.
I also enjoy creating a little more when I get to use pinks and flowers. The vintage bliss 6×6 paper pad was perfect for this project. It was hard to choose just a few papers. Luckily the paper is reversible so I could use every bit of scrap.
All the die cuts were double layered except for the flowers, which were triple layered. The stems were so delicate I wanted to make sure they had extra support. I propped up the watering can on dimensional tape to keep it on the same level of these “bubbles”. I thought the “bubbles” gave a nice water drop effect, What do you think? They are flat backed and come in various sizes but I went a little uniform trying to create a “sprinkled” look a watering can some times create.
I thought the “wood plank” paper made a nice frame for the pink paper. I added a 1 inch border of the plaid to pull all the colors together. My one blue flower looked lonely but the little flower pattern seemed to help balance it. Did I mention I loved working with this paper? It is so easy to play with as everything looks great together.
Thanks for looking. I always appreciate your thoughts on my projects.
