Cards from Echo Park “Coffee” Line

March 20, 2019

Let’s talk cards…..

I follow some amazing people on instagram and blogs that make incredible cards. The stamping and coloring are so skillfully created, I look forward to their posts, enjoying each creation. However, I have known since second grade my coloring skills are just not up to snuff! As much as I would like to think I can create cards such as these, part of knowing yourself is appreciating your limitations.

Which is why when Echo Park came out with their Coffee line last fall, I knew I had to get it. Lately, the only time I get together with some of my friends is over a quick cup of coffee. Our meet ups are done by text so I thought this line would be perfect to make cards and send them for a change.

I needed the cards to be quick and easy but still have a handmade touch. The cut apart pages and solid matching papers were perfect for my needs. I also used the Echo Park Coffee designs uploaded to the Silhouette Design Store for a print and cut embellishment.

Using two short blocks of time I divided the cutting and assembly into each. In the first block, I cut the card base out of the solid pink/teal matching cardstock for a finished size of 4 1/4 by 6 1/4. Then cut the 4×6 and 4×4 Journaling cards. Along with white cardstock blocks for my handwritten note and downloaded the print and cut. (If you have questions about print and cut leave me a note in comments. It is one of my favorite features of the cameo.)

In the second block of time, about a week later was assembly. I found some enamel dots from my stash to add a little shine on the front and inside and I cut my print and cut. If I put the two blocks of time together I think it might have been a little over an hour to design, cut and assemble these fairly simple cards. I love how these three cards turned out. Simple but fun and easy to create. Let me know what you think.
