One of the reasons I started my blog was to be able to “geek” out about products I enjoy using or new things happening in the creative world! But I got a little nervous when the majority of the blogs were project based. I love seeing projects, but sometimes I just want to chat, share and hear about your experiences with products. I don’t have a close friend who is into crafting, so I had hoped to build a friendly community that would understand my need to talk and share about these things! But I got nervous about it, held back and it hampered my posting.
However, as I turn another year older and finish another craft room move in the house along with a reorganization; I realize I was putting a limitation on myself which affected my blogging and crafting joy! Maybe my posts are read by only a few but, at least I will be able to get out all my excitement over the things in paper crafting that brought me joy.
In 2016, Tonic crossed my radar at an expo class that allowed us to try out Tonic’s new mousse and crystal drops. Instant love! I started collecting Nuvo Drops like an obsessed fan.
As I worked on a mini album that was fall themed, I came across Nuvo’s Autumn colored glitter with enticing names such as one yummy one “spiced apricot.” Besides the color depth, I was taken with the packaging. Who doesn’t like a big jewel cap on a glittery bottle? Right?
Then, this past spring, a video of Tonic’s craft kits popped up in my suggested videos. The reveal videos were addicting each one chock full of goodies to complete a project. I am not big on craft kits, but this was too good to pass up for roughly $40. I had missed some good ones, so Number 9 was not escaping my clutches. I signed up and waited the full month with the patience of a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive!
When the kit came, I felt as though I had stumbled onto a craft secret. It was generous with all sorts of items designed specifically for the kit. Intricate die sets with matching stamps. Beautifully designed papers with embossing, mirror finish and matching heavyweight cardstock. It also had surprise gifts plus sample sizes of new colors not yet released in crystal drops, mousse, glitter paste, glitter, and sequins. I have to say I sat with my coffee just looking at everything and enjoying all the colors and packaging. I know I am probably a little wacky!
I have never had a Tonic Studio die set, I found myself taken with the layers included along with the detail cuts.
The first kit had approx. 12 dies to create a little-handled gift bag. A stamp sets to go with the die set project. Then all the embellishments added to finish the project is unmatched in my opinion. Everything goes together so well and with options! Options people, very important!
In addition to all this, their customer service is staffed with thoughtful, positive people who genuinely listen to help solve the problem in your favor. I happened to order as they were experiencing crazy growth launching the USA website. But between website questions and their Facebook page, I felt heard and helped!
If you are interested, https://www.tonic-studios.com They are based in the UK but ship all over, make sure to click on the USA if you are in the states. They have a facility in California that handles the USA shipping!
Thanks for letting me share about my new favorite kit and company. I would love to hear from anyone who is getting Tonic Kits or has a favorite Tonic product to share about. It is always nice to know I am not the only one!
I am still finishing my 3rd craft room move but hoping I can dig in and complete the projects of each kit and then have something to post in the next week.
Until next time…
