Good Morning,
I think I have been caught in a time warp as I am aghast to find my little one will be turning 4 in a few days. I just realized recently he will be off to Kindergarten next year, where did the time go, to me it’s still 2014. UGH!
My son is very proud to be turning 4 , he has been to many birthday parties recently and very excited to have a party “with his friends” as well. I wanted to do something special for his card to celebrate this new awareness of birthdays. When I came across this cute box card cut file in the Silhouette Design Store by Lori Whitlock (box card: ages 4,5,6) I thought it was the perfect card to make his birthday card a little extra special.
The cut file comes with the little name tag, stars and banners as well as all the panels. It measures 4.25 x 5.5 and will fold down to fit into an A2 envelope.
I used this older Doodlebug Collection for Birthdays, I admit I hoard it but this was perfect for him. My son doesn’t have a favorite color in fact the more colors the more excited he gets. If it has a pattern he is even happier. To keep that interest I used some of Doodlebug’s linens and ginham “solid” paper as well.
The cut file actually has more banners for the side flaps which are super cute but I decided to go with the Doodlebug Collection’s ” present” stickers since that speaks more to his interest.
This is the third box card I have made and have to say if you have not done one you should. They are so fun to make, I love seeing them start to come to life with the paper. People love getting them as they sit nicely on a mantel or table. I hope you will give one a try.
Before I go here is my suplly list:
- Cameo Silhouette
- Silhouette design store: Box Card : ages 4,5,6 by Lori Whitlock
- Doodlebug 6×6 paper pad
- Doodlebug ginham and linen 6×6 paper pad/scraps
- Doodlebug celebration stickers
Thanks for stopping by to look at my card, alwasy happy to hear from everyone!
Until next time,
What a great card! I’m sure he will love it! 🙂
