Fall Card using Simple Stories “Hello Fall” Collection

Good Morning,

Today I had a chance to play with the new Simple Stories Collection “Hello Fall.”  I have managed to get my hands on the 6×6 pad and the little bits and pieces to create this card while I wait for my larger order to arrive from Steals.com . (They had it for roughly 50% off last week.) This collection’s hues and colors will work perfectly for my scrapbook layouts of the pumpkin patch from last year. However, I love this collection so much I couldn’t wait to create something with it hence my card.

As I went through the 6×6 pad, I immediately fell in love with the plaid and the darker steel blue for a base. I choose the multicolored word strip for the sentiment and the way it tied all the colors together. However, once I had it adhered to the left, I wondered if I had worked myself into a corner.  Enter the fabulous Bits and Pieces pack, 62 die cut pieces to save me. Working with the pieces decision making did get a little difficult with so many options but, I like what I came up with in the end.

If you’re interested here is the supplies list:

Hello Fall by Simple Stories

  • 6×6 pad – plaid, steel blue, and the word block
  • bits and pieces cardstock die cuts- multiple pieces
  • your favorite liquid glue for putting the cluster together
  • the card base is white card stock cut to 6×12 (larger card)

Thank you so much for visiting today, as always your feedback in comments is appreciated!

Until next time….

*My disclaimer, I am not compensated to talk about this collection I just loved it and thought to share it!

  1. How cute!! There is a stamp by Close to my Heart which is very similar to the word paper in the first card.(that’s just an FYI). These are so adorable!!! I may have to scraplift. Love these papers….is there a Christmas set as well?

  2. I can see why you were tempted. Super products. I really like the blue to offset the Autumn shades and how you have featured the die cuts in a group together!
