Good morning,
I recently went to the Stamping and Scrapbooking Expo held a couple of weeks ago. The Expo come three times a year to Northern California, I usually go for the shopping at two of them. This year, was the first time I took some classes and participated in the Make and Take Crop held on Thursday night. It was so much fun, the companies who participated were very generous with their make and takes, they kept us busy until midnight. This seems to be the best kept secret of the Expo, I couldn’t believe what I walked away with way more than what I paid for the crop.
My most enjoyable make and take was this is super cool shaker card kit by Queen and Co. This Shaker card kit contains everything but the filling to create this card. They have made it so easy to make an amazing card. In fact it was so popular, I heard their booth was practically sold out of many of the designs before the end of the first day.

This is basically a peel, stick, fill, peel and cover…..super easy! They give you the card base, a raised foam piece with shapes (they have butterflies, hearts etc.) you punch out, then peel the backing on the raised foam and stick it to the card. Fill the windows with your choice of stickers (my card has their epoxy sticker set “love” and some heart confetti) and confetti. Once I am done filling the windows, the foam has a clear top layer that is removed to adhere the acetate, super easy. The top card stock layer has an adhesive side to stick to the acetate. Voila! You are done!
Aside from the ease of making this card, I loved how the raised foam sides on all the designs help keep the filling contained as I worked on other sections. Unlike more traditional methods, I never worried about edges being sealed or having to attach anything. It was actually quite relaxing to put this together. I haven’t seen them in my local store yet, but I noticed the details on their site. I really enjoyed it so I thought I would share about it.
Until next time……
P.S. I am not affiliated with Queen & Co. just loved this product.
Thanks Robert!
